I like this series and the world that it takes place in and although it has some similarities to a few other series I've read I think it also has enough differences to keep it entertaining and engaging. I wouldn't recommend reading this one without having read the 1st book in the series. This book centers around Sterling and Becky. I enjoyed both Sterling and Becky as characters and the romance had a lot of potential but fell a bit short IMO. There was plenty of action and a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming. There were a few scenes that I had to go back and re-read that seemed a bit confusing and I wanted more insight into Caleb. I feel like we know Adam and his motivations more than we do Caleb's. But overall, I enjoyed this book and will continue to read the series.

The Storm That is Sterling could have gotten a 5 star review from me. However, I was disappointed in the way Becca's Character was written and I felt the romance didn't sizzle until the end of the book. Sterling and Becca meet when she was in her last year in high school, he was a year ahead of her. Sterling asked her to go on a date and she agrees. Military Officers show up a his home and demand he joins the military like his father, because he has been caught hacking into government computers. Hear lye's the problem for me; Sterling and Becca don't meet again until 14 years later. She has become scientist and they need her to work on solving the problem of a new drug ICE that has hit the streets by way of none other than Adam Rains head of the evil Zodius GTECHS. I think Ms.Jones missed an opportunity to have a hot sizzling romance between Sterling and Becca before he just disappears for 14yrs. Everyone remembers their first love. Becca now is dying from Lung Cancer. This is another problem I had with the book, she comes across as a self pitying martyr. I know this sounds bad to say about a person with cancer, but she refuses anyone help even her mothers. She won't tell her mother she is dying of cancer because she doesn't want to disrupt her life. I thought this was crazy!! I am a mother and no matter what I would want to know if my child adult or not had cancer. She did the same thing with Sterling when they finally make love at the end of the book and the Lifebond Mark appears on her neck she won't tell him so he can complete the Lifebond and heal her cancer and her addition of ICE. Why?? because she doesn't want him to feel obligated to her, so she would rather die!!! How Dumb is That!!

I was very happy to re visit Caleb, Micheal and Cassandra and all the other characters from the book 1 The Legend of Michael. We also get to met met Damion who's book is next. All in All it was a good read. I just like a lot more Hot Sizzling love making romance in stories I read and I don't like much angst in a story. Their is two new very interesting villains in this story Sabrina who turns out to be a very surprising evil women and Dorian, who is Adam and Ava's son!!
Neat little romance novel but also mystery and action novel too. good storyline that hooks you and keeps you reading. definitely would read again.
This was book 2 in the series. T focuses on Sterling and Rebecca’s relationship. They are still fighting Zodius and Dorian Adams son looks like a teenager with special powers. Heading to the next book.
I enjoyed this book very much. I love the storyline and the characters. My only dislike, as I mentioned on book 1, was the indecision with Becca and Sterling regarding if they should be together. I also would have liked written confirmation that Becca was cured of cancer. I can assume but it'd been nice if they ran tests and confirmed for us.
But anyway, I loved the story. The writing was great. Looking forward to the next book.
45% in the book - As reunion stories goes I am liking this. Jones did enough to show us how Becca and Sterling sort of met. Thought it was real cute how the two of them had crushes on the other, how circumstances kept them from being together.

Sterling - ahh now there is a man after my own heart. Oh I got a goofy grin when I seen his addiction is the same as mine Dr. Pepper! Now I am going the thing of him everytime I drink DP (and that's a lot)

Becca is proving to be strong inwardly. I like how she's not afraid of Sterling, able to hold her own around him without caving in like a weak ninny.

The story, I noticed, moved a lot more smoothly than Michael's. Nothing wrong with Michael's story - Lisa just had to open up the world, how the Zodious and Renegades came to be. Sterling's we did not need all that world building, we already versed.

Sterling, the way he loved to antagonize Michael had me laughing. What I am anticpating is for Caleb and Kelly to find their Lifebound
The setting and plot reminded me of Laurann Dohnner's books or Lora Leigh's books, but with most of the erotica replaced by action. Teen sweethearts are reunited later in life, brought together by a threat to her life. He is a super soldier; and she is a scientist who might have the skills to fix a lot of problems his organization is tackling. They are attracted, but a series of problems keep them apart, like her not really knowing if he is trustworthy or allied with a group of evil villains who want to kill her. Oh, and she is dying of a terminal disease.

Action packed, fast paced and entertaining, this book has all the advantages of a scifi/fantasy, plus some nicely done romance. Good visuals, good character development, believable romance, minimal stupid actions to progress the plot (though there were a few).

My biggest complaint is was that some vital information was missing from the beginning of the book. The prologue is fine, but once you start into the first chapter, critical back story is omitted. Why and how is there a scientific specialty for alien organisms? How did he become a super soldier with alien DNA? What happened to make his and this other evil organization both separate from the US government? We are never told any of these answers, and the missing information left me ridiculously confused. If there is a prior book (I didn't check), then I would strongly suggest reading that one first---or finding a plot summary online.
